Officers Support Special Olympics Through Annual Torch Run

Our Association President and fellow officers proudly joined law enforcement professionals from across Northern California in the 2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), carrying the "Flame of Hope" to raise awareness and support for Special Olympics NorCal. Each year, thousands of officers participate in this powerful tradition—running in relay-style legs through cities and counties to champion inclusion, athleticism, and community spirit. This year’s Torch Run culminates in the Special Olympics Summer Games, taking place at Santa Clara University, where over 1,000 athletes will compete in various sports. The Torch Run isn’t just about the miles—it’s about mission. Our Association is honored to stand beside Special Olympics athletes, promoting respect and celebrating the achievements of individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Association helped contribute to this great cause by sponsoring some of our Officers to participate in the event. We’re grateful for the opportunity to run, support, and stand together—for inclusion, for inspiration, and for the incredible athletes of Special Olympics NorCal.
